The short answer is that eXp Realty is a real estate brokerage. There are about 86,000 real estate agents that hold their license with eXp Realty.

All eXp solo agents are on an 80/20 split with a $16,000 cap. What this means is that for your closings, you keep 80% of your commission checks, 20% of the commission check goes to eXp Realty. Once eXp receives $16,000, you then go to 100% commission. The $16,000 cap resets on the anniversary date of your original joining of eXp.
